We know it: even today, inequalities hit hard.
For young people from underprivileged backgrounds, major obstacles stand in the way of their future: school dropouts, behavioral issues, mental health challenges, among others. The numbers speak for themselves. Studies prove it.
With your help, we believe we can change that.
We believe every young person has the potential to succeed—not just on the field, but also in school and in life. In order to achieve this, every young person needs that person.
“I had a coach (…) who really pushed me in basketball, who truly trained me since I was little, and he really took me to the next level. On a personal level, he brought me discipline, a strong work ethic, working hard—it really changed my life. It pulled me away from all the bad things and focused me on basketball. (…) He truly got me out of where I was, and it really changed me.”
Zachary,

Thanks to you, we will be able to support nearly 2,000 young people by providing them with a qualified coach and enable 180 sports coaches to take part in our training programs.
“I want to keep playing basketball at a high level, and for that, my coach helps me push myself on the court and motivates me to be a good student in the classroom. Basketball gives me the opportunity to test my abilities and is a source of both fun and perseverance. With the discipline I’ve learned through sports, I’ve become a better student because I make sure to stay on top of my homework and recovery periods to perform well in class.”
– Ayden, a P3P youth learning to push himself both on the court and in school to grow stronger
“Before basketball, I was very shy. When I started playing, I opened up to others. I tell my coach everything; I can completely open up to him. When he chose me to be one of the team captains this year, I was so happy! I really love supporting the team. I enjoy helping others keep their heads up, even when we lose a game.
I used to think that life always had a winner and a loser, but my coach taught me that you can either be the one who wins or the one who learns from their mistakes to improve.”
– Denzel, a P3P youth who gains a little more confidence with every practice and every game
“Coach came to me, told me I had talent, and said he believed in me—not just in how I play, but in my personality. I loved that compliment because it proved to me that Coach believes in me, and I really appreciate it when someone believes in me and trusts me. Not just in sports, but in everything.”
– Darryn, a 12-year-old P3P youth learning to believe in himself beyond the court
“Mentorship for youth, acquiring essential life skills, and an environment that fosters their well-being and development are crucial.”

“It’s an organization that, for me, is part of the solution to many of our issues.”
– Gaël Comtois, host, columnist, and P3P supporter
“One of the coaches who had the biggest impact on me coached me from elementary school all the way to grade 11. He’s the big brother I always wanted to have in basketball, which I didn’t have with my brothers because they didn’t play basketball. (…) There was no option to quit during tough times when facing adversity. He guided me, showed me everything I learned about the basketball mentality.”
– Zach, a P3P youth who learned what perseverance truly means through the lessons from his coach.
“She’s the person who showed us how much sports is more than just throwing a ball into a hoop. It’s so much more. It’s all the values she taught us. Without Imane, I wouldn’t have continued playing for so long. And playing for that long is what made me who I am.”
– Houyam, certified P3P coach and former P3P youth who makes a positive impact on young people every day.
